The Course
WEHORR or Women's Eights Head of the River Race, is an annual head race on the river Thames that began over 80 years ago.
​
It is is now the largest women's rowing race in the world, with with around 2,880 women racing and up to 320 crews taking part.
It allows us to row alongside the very best rowers in the world, from top university teams to Olympians. RVCBC has, for the past few years, entered at least one women's crew.
The course itself is 6800m, between the University Pole in Chiswick to Putney Pier, and is shown in the diagram below.
