ABOUT US

ABOUT US

The Boat Club is one of the largest sports teams at the RVC. We are a mixed club, aiming to involve everyone in the wonderful sport that is, rowing!

Whether you’ve never rowed before, or have lots of experience, we like to get everyone engaged with the sport and on the water.

We give coaching from day one and compete in British Rowing events, such as Cambridge Winter Head Race, WEHORR, HORR as well as our regular regattas and head races with United Hospitals – a compilation of UoL Medical Schools.

We train in Chiswick, rowing on the Thames between Putney and Richmond.

Besides actual rowing, our weekly socials and annual tour are the largest of all teams at the RVC, and incredibly popular!

A combination of training and socials means that joining the boat club is a great way to immerse yourself in RVC life, enjoy an incredible sport and make friends for life.

(Plus, who could say no to our lavishing lycra?!)
